HR Business Partner
About the role
The Human Resource Business Partner (HRBP) at CECO Environmental supports organizational effectiveness and development. This role works with client leaders to execute HR processes, manage employee relations, and lead change management initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Executes HR processes such as HR Planning, Performance Management, Goal Setting, Merit and Promotion processes, Employee Development, and Succession Planning for client organizations.
- Evaluates organizational skills needs and capacity, manages complex employee and labor relations issues, and plans and executes employee engagement strategy.
- Assists client groups with organizational design, identifies and capitalizes on opportunities to drive and lead change, facilitates change management initiatives, and develops and conducts team development strategies.
- Develops and executes plans for reductions-in-force, layoffs, or involuntary separations within client groups.
- Consults with managers on pay-related decisions, including new hire offer ranges, merit increases, market pricing data, incentive recommendations, stock options, and other adjustments.
- Manages, administers, and communicates employee benefits in collaboration with corporate business partners.
- Aids leaders in the annual Performance Review process, including coaching on providing effective coaching and feedback, and ensuring legal compliance.
- Serves as a leader for process and program creation and improvements, such as Change Management, Rewards and Recognition, Continuous Improvement, etc.
- Leads special projects, developing and implementing solutions as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field with at least 8 years of professional experience in HR, including 4 years in a generalist role.
- Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in HR, including 4 years in a generalist role.
- Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills.
- Experience supporting diverse client groups, including manufacturing and non-manufacturing clients, and working in mid-sized complex environments and matrixed organizations.
- Experience in manufacturing, engineering design, or commercial industrial industries is helpful.
- 30% travel is expected to support assigned business lines.
