About the role
An HR Business Consultant provides strategic human resources consulting services to leaders. They balance business and associate needs, translating strategies into HR solutions that support business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Build strategic relationships with business leaders and develop trust.
- Partner with HR centers of excellence to execute processes like employee relations, staffing, training, performance management, succession planning, compensation, and benefits.
- Identify, define, and recommend solutions to address business needs, considering broader impacts.
- Utilize key business/HR metrics and data to monitor changes and trends, and communicate results to influence outcomes.
- Lead and facilitate HR programs and services aligned with business plans.
- Provide change management consultation and lead projects throughout the lifecycle.
- Support workforce development, engagement, and retention initiatives.
- Collaborate with HR centers of excellence to ensure consistent communications and updates.
- Conduct reviews to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
- Stay updated on legislation and upcoming changes impacting the business.
- Conduct investigations and make recommendations based on findings.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 5 years related work experience, 8+ years preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership and professionalism.
- Knowledge of HR processes and procedures, and their application to business strategy.
- Thorough understanding of major HR disciplines and ability to support business partners at the highest level.
- Solid grasp of fair employment practices and regulations.
- Experience navigating and managing complex employee relations issues.
- Previous change management experience.
- Ability to build and maintain strategic partnerships with business leaders.
