HR Assistant

We are looking for an organized, dependable Human Resources Assistant who enjoys supporting people, keeping projects on track, and ensuring the details are handled with care, confidentiality, and accuracy. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in exceptional administrative work, enjoys helping others, and wants to be part of a collaborative HR team. The Human Resources Assistant provides administrative support for the daily operations of the Human Resources department, coordinating recruiting, onboarding, employee records, benefits administration, travel, safety documentation, employee communications, engagement activities, and community outreach.
Success in this role comes from strong organization, attention to detail, professionalism, confidentiality, and outstanding customer service.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee files and HR records.
- Coordinate recruiting activities including posting positions, scheduling interviews, communicating with candidates, and preparing hiring paperwork.
- Coordinate new hire onboarding and employee separation processes.
- Assist employees with benefits enrollment, changes, and general HR questions.
- Maintain HRIS records and personnel documentation.
- Assist with administration of the company safety program by maintaining training records, safety documentation, and required reporting.
- Coordinate employee recognition activities, holiday events, wellness initiatives, charitable drives, etc.
- Prepare correspondence, reports, presentations, and other HR documents.
- Provide friendly, responsive customer service to internal and external partners.
- Maintain strict confidentiality while handling sensitive employee information.
- Support the HR Director with special projects and other administrative duties as assigned.

Requirements
- Associate's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
- One to three years of administrative, HR, office, or customer service experience preferred.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise good judgment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams); ability to learn HRIS systems quickly.

Pay
Pay Range: $24.00–$30.00 per hour. Discretionary year-end bonus opportunity.
