HR and Talent Specialist
About the role
As an HR & Talent Specialist at SKYLAKE Adventures, you will be responsible for managing the recruitment and onboarding process for both seasonal and year-round positions. You will work closely with managers to understand staffing needs, develop recruiting strategies, and ensure that the hiring process runs smoothly throughout the year.
Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle recruiting for seasonal and year-round positions, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, candidate selection, manager interviews, and pre-employment activities
- Partner with managers to understand staffing needs, position qualifications, candidate profiles, and hiring timelines
- Develop and adjust sourcing strategies based on hiring needs, applicant flow, and recruiting results
- Develop and maintain recruiting tools and processes, including interview guides, screening questions, and candidate tracking methods
- Build relationships with schools, colleges, community organizations, and other recruiting partners, and represent SKYLAKE at job fairs and hiring events
- Develop, facilitate, and continuously improve SKYLAKE’s new team member orientation and onboarding programs
- Oversee new-hire readiness, including uniforms, badges, orientation materials, and related inventory
- Track recruiting and onboarding results to identify trends and recommend process improvements
- Support HR projects, process improvements, and other department priorities as SKYLAKE and the HR function grow
Requirements
2+ years of experience in recruiting, talent acquisition, human resources, or a related people-focused role
Demonstrated ability to independently manage recruiting activities, evaluate candidates, and exercise sound judgment
Effective communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to partner confidently with managers, candidates, and team members
Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
A proactive, adaptable, and solutions-focused approach with the ability to develop processes and recommend improvements
High integrity, discretion, and professionalism when handling confidential information
Familiarity with recruiting practices and employment law fundamentals; experience with applicant tracking or HR systems is a plus
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings
Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and navigate through various outdoor environments

Pay
Salary range: $40,000 - $60,000 annually
