You'll join a growing organisation and work closely with the HR Manager as part of a small supportive People team. Alongside managing core administration and payroll data, you'll have the opportunity to spot better ways of working and contribute to improvements across the department.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a first point of contact for employee queries, providing accurate guidance and escalating matters where appropriate.
  • Manage administration across starters, contractual changes, leavers, time and attendance, ensuring records remain accurate and up to date.
  • Collate and check employee data for pay processing, investigating discrepancies and providing supporting evidence where required.
  • Maintain employee information within the HRIS and produce accurate reports for the wider People team.
  • Support absence monitoring, recruitment and induction, including creating adverts, reviewing applications and arranging interviews.
  • Prepare employee correspondence, templates and forms while reviewing administrative processes to identify opportunities for improvement.

Requirements

  • Proven experience delivering day-to-day people administration, ideally gained within a small to medium business.
  • Experience administering payroll data, checking information and producing reports.
  • CIPD Level 3 qualification or currently working towards it would be advantageous.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Excel and experience analysing data; VLOOKUP and PivotTable knowledge would be an advantage.
  • Experience maintaining accurate employee records and working with HR information systems.
  • Adaptability and ability to use own initiative and good problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.

Benefits

  • £27,000 - £29,000 salary, pro rata for 25 hours per week.
  • Permanent, part-time position offering consistent weekday hours.
  • Hybrid working, giving you a balance between home and office.
  • The opportunity to work across a broad range of generalist people activities.
  • Exposure to payroll data, recruitment, employee records and HR systems.
  • Scope to contribute ideas and improve existing processes as the organisation grows.

Schedule

25 hours per week across five days.
