HR Advisor

Job Overview

We are seeking an HR Advisor to serve as a trusted resource for employees and managers by providing guidance on HR policies, procedures, programs, and employee relations matters. This role will act as the primary point of contact for HR-related inquiries, investigate workplace concerns, and partner with internal stakeholders to ensure consistent application of company policies and a positive employee experience.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 2+ years of Human Resources experience in an HR Generalist, HR Representative, HR Advisor, Employee Relations, or related role.
• Experience supporting employees and managers within a large or complex organization preferred.
• Strong understanding of employee relations, HR policies, performance management, and workplace investigations.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Experience with HRIS systems, case management platforms, and reporting tools.
• SAP experience is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel.

Skills

• Interpret and explain company policies related to performance management, disciplinary actions, benefits, compensation, and workplace practices.
• Advise managers on complex employee relations issues and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Investigate employee concerns, workplace complaints, and policy-related matters, ensuring timely resolution and proper documentation.
• Research and resolve compensation-related inquiries, including merit increases, promotions, demotions, and pay adjustments.
• Partner with Payroll, Benefits, Operations, and other internal teams to address escalated employee issues.
• Maintain detailed case records and documentation within HR systems.
• Generate reports, conduct research, and support HR projects and initiatives as needed.
• Able to assist with translation of HR-related documentation and investigations from Spanish to English, when applicable.

Sherpa offers benefits to contract employees who meet the following criteria: Must be a full-time employee (30+ weekly hours/+130 hours per month) to be eligible. Medical plan offered is BCBSNC Blue Options PPO. Premiums will be pre-taxed. Sherpa pays a portion of the Employee only premium for medical. 90 day waiting period from date of hire. Medical, Dental, and Vision plans.
