About the role
NorthStar Energy Services is seeking a Hiring Coordinator / HR Administrative Support to support high-volume hiring and onboarding activities for field operations in the Midland, TX area. This role is critical to ensuring candidates move quickly and efficiently from offer to start, with a strong focus on paperwork, compliance, and coordination.
Responsibilities
- Career Development: Focuses on career development and rewards excellence, recognizing each team member's unique contributions.
- High-Volume Hiring: Supports high-volume hiring efforts by managing multiple candidates simultaneously and prioritizing urgent hiring needs.
- Onboarding Activities: Coordinate onboarding activities for new hires, including collecting, reviewing, and processing required employment documentation.
- New Hire Paperwork: Prepare and issue onboarding packets, and new hire paperwork in a timely and accurate manner.
- Candidate Progress Tracking: Track candidate progress from offer acceptance through start date, ensuring all compliance requirements are met.
- Pre-Employment Requirements: Coordinate hiring documentation such as drug screens, background checks, and physicals.
- Communication: Communicate regularly with candidates, hiring supervisors, and field teams to ensure alignment on start dates and onboarding status.
- Documentation Management: Maintain accurate records in HRIS or applicant tracking systems and ensure documentation is complete and audit-ready.
- Office Setup: Assist with office setup and administrative support for the Midland location as needed.
Requirements
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in HR support, onboarding, administrative, or high-volume coordination roles.
- Skills: Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, especially in handling documentation and compliance requirements; proficiency with Microsoft Office and HR systems (ATS/HRIS experience preferred); strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with candidates and internal teams; experience in construction, energy, or field-based hiring environments preferred.
