Responsibilities
- Aid in planting fall flower beds, including tulip bulbs for Temple Square displays.
- Perform grounds maintenance tasks such as setting up and taking down Christmas lights and displays.
- Contribute to grounds maintenance as directed.
- Assist with snow removal, including shoveling snow.
- Report issues to supervisors and maintain good public relations.
- Operate motorized and hand tools as needed.
- Travel to multiple buildings off Temple Square as necessary.
Qualifications
- Physically and mentally capable of outdoor work in all seasons.
- Ability to operate assigned equipment such as walk behind snow blowers, lawn mowers, and other motorized tools.
- Capable of standing, walking, bending, kneeling, squatting, pushing, and pulling for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and position objects weighing up to 100 lbs.
- Fit into confined spaces and maneuver flower beds without causing damage.
- Knowledge of various plants and fertilizers.
- Ability to climb ladders and work in high locations on a mechanical lift and building ledges.
- Professional demeanor and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
