Responsibilities

Here’s what you’ll do on a standard day of work:

• Sanitize public areas, offices, and restrooms, daily or as instructed (yes this means cleaning toilets, but it’s not usually that bad).
• Dust or polish furnishings, light fixtures, windowsills, wood paneling, etc.
• Spot clean carpets, rugs and upholstery, restock supplies, remove leaves or snow, and dispose of trash, waste, and other materials (it’s very satisfying to put everything in order every day).
• Attend meetings and trainings crafted to increase your knowledge and abilities.
• Operate mechanized cleaning equipment, vacuums, buffers, large scrubbers and sweepers, and extraction equipment, etc. (we’ll provide equipment training).
• Perform emergency cleanups including floods, bodily fluids, spills, etc.
• Report safety or security issues and needed repairs.

Requirements

• Must be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and currently temple worthy.
• Hardworking individuals who can independently lift and position objects weighing as much as 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, kneel, squat, stoop, push, pull, twist, bend, and perform repetitive movements for extended periods of time.
• Complete vital tasks and handle basic issues and solve problems professionally.
• Work alone without constant supervision but can also strengthen their teams.
• Work involves various cleaning solvents and chemicals; must align with all regulations associated with the safe handling of chemicals.
• Must be able to work in damp, dusty, and/or dirty areas.
• Must be able to read, comprehend, and communicate in English for video training, building security, and safety purposes, including asking clarifying questions as needed.

Any previous experience or knowledge of custodial practices is welcomed but not required.

Skills

• Ability to work rotating weekends (every 7th Saturday and every 14th Sunday) and events and holidays as scheduled.

Pay

Swing Shift Differential: $18.00/hr + $1.00/hr.

Schedule

• Monday - Friday Swing Shift: 5:00pm-1:30am (40 hours a week) - Downtown Buildings.
