About the role
This is a part-time position located at the Conference Center Building in Salt Lake City, Utah. The schedule is Monday-Friday, 1:00pm-5:00pm, with rotating weekends (every 7th Saturday) and events/holidays as scheduled. This position does not include medical benefits.
Pay
$18.00 per hour
Responsibilities
- Sanitize public areas, offices, and restrooms, daily or as instructed
- Dust or polish furnishings, light fixtures, windowsills, wood paneling, etc.
- Spot clean carpets, rugs, and upholstery
- Restock supplies, remove leaves or snow, and dispose of trash, waste, and other materials
- Attend meetings and trainings to increase knowledge and abilities
- Operate mechanized cleaning equipment, vacuums, buffers, large scrubbers and sweepers, and extraction equipment (training provided)
- Perform emergency cleanups including floods, bodily fluids, spills, etc.
- Report safety or security issues and needed repairs
Requirements
- Ability to independently lift and position objects weighing up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, kneel, squat, stoop, push, pull, twist, bend, and perform repetitive movements for extended periods
- Complete vital tasks and handle basic issues professionally
- Work independently without constant supervision while strengthening teams
- Work with cleaning solvents and chemicals, adhering to safety regulations
- Work in damp, dusty, and/or dirty areas
- Read, comprehend, and communicate in English for training, security, and safety purposes
- Only members of the Church who are worthy of a temple recommend qualify for employment
Qualifications
Previous experience or knowledge of custodial practices is welcomed but not required.
