Position Purpose
The Machine Operator is responsible for ensuring all machine processing meets the quality and customer standards.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities, And Key Accountabilities
- Perform machine operation functions.
- Perform label verification checks.
- Absorb at all stations on production line where bottlenecks occur.
- Maintain hour by hour boards tracking downtime, staffing, product in progress, pressurization time, fill rates, cycles completed per hour.
- Understand and complete paperwork associated with product for each customer’s specifications.
- Report any issues to supervisor immediately.
- Communicate changeovers with quality and team lead to make sure a three-party verification takes place.
- Label change outs.
Requirements
- Preferred Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent, Previous experience working in cold environment.
- Qualifications: Machine operator experience is desired, Experience working in a team environment, Display ability to meet daily deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment, Proven satisfactory attendance, Must be flexible with work schedule and job duties with changing work environment, Good communication skills (read, write, speak), Proven legible writing skills.
Working Conditions
This job operates in a cold and wet environment located within the facility. Requires standing for entire shift, bending, twisting, and lifting. Ability to lift 45 pounds or more on a regular basis, push/pull up to 250 pounds on rollers regularly.
Hourly Employees
Universal Pure facilities may process, pack, and store products containing allergenic food ingredients as referenced by FDA, team members who may come in direct contact, must be able to work with these ingredients.
