Responsibilities

  • Assist clients in navigating rental assistance programs like Section 8 and ensure they understand their options for affordable housing.
  • Conduct assessments and develop personalized case management plans that address individual needs and circumstances.
  • Provide guidance and support to clients via phone and virtual meetings, while documenting their progress meticulously.
  • Perform outreach to community partners and housing providers to foster collaborative relationships, ensuring all resources are available for clients.
  • Participate in team meetings to discuss best practices and strategies for tackling housing challenges.
  • Empower clients with the resources needed to secure stable housing while demonstrating a strong commitment to excellence and innovation.

Schedule

Dynamic and engaging schedule from Monday to Friday.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Three years of experience in homeless and housing services.
  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • Valid Ohio driver’s license with four points or less, and proof of insurance.
  • Reliable personal vehicle for transportation to meet with clients and community partners.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification in Housing Quality Standards (HQS).

Skills

  • Proficiency in software tools for case management and client tracking.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and an empathetic approach.
  • Knowledge of the complexities within affordable housing.
