Duties And Responsibilities
- Trains new and existing HRC staff and managers on HRC service delivery, including Housing Problem Solving, Coordinated Entry, outreach, referrals, and related core competencies.
- Provides in-vivo (on-site, real-time) training and coaching during actual service delivery, correcting and reinforcing practice in the moment.
- Serves as the organization's subject-matter expert on HMIS documentation standards for HRC programs, training staff on accurate, timely, and compliant data entry.
- Makes sure HMIS data quality and timeliness, identifies gaps, and provides targeted retraining where needed.
- Ensures new hires complete required onboarding trainings and certifications on schedule, and tracks staff completion of ongoing/annual training requirements.
- Trains program managers on their role in HMIS oversight and staff coaching.
- Stays current on County and HMIS policy changes and updates training content accordingly.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in social work, human services, or related field preferred; four (4) years of housing and data-related experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.
- Minimum three (3) years of direct experience in HRC, Coordinated Entry, or homeless services program delivery.
- Experience training or coaching staff preferred.
- Demonstrated HMIS proficiency required.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word/Excel.
