The City of Plano is seeking a Housing Rehabilitation Project Coordinator or Senior Housing Rehabilitation Project Coordinator to join their professional team. This full-time position involves working in a professional team environment with dedicated individuals who love what they do.

Responsibilities

  • Show hands-on construction skills, including site inspections, estimating, invoicing, and project oversight.
  • Utilize intermediate computer skills such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet search to accomplish tasks efficiently.

  • Be able to multitask, maintain a can-do attitude, be kind and respectful of others, value collaboration, and live and respect Plano's values.

Requirements

  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, Architecture, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
  • Have three years of hands-on experience in residential construction or remodeling, construction estimating and bidding, residential insurance adjustment, or as a municipal Building Inspector.
  • Possess a valid Class C Driver's license (must obtain within 30 days of hire per state law) and a Lead Base Paint Risk Assessor Certification (or ability to obtain said certification within the first six months of entry into position).

Pay

The target hourly rate for the Housing Rehabilitation Project Coordinator is between $26.47 - $33.09; depending on qualifications. The target hourly rate for the Senior Housing Rehabilitation Project Coordinator is between $29.18 - $36.48; depending on qualifications.

Schedule

Three (3) shifts are available: 7:30 am – 4:30 pm, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, and 8:30 am – 5:30 pm. New employees are required to work the trainer’s schedule during training.
