Responsibilities
- Aid the Program Director in maintaining RS EDEN properties.
- Complete repairs as needed and follow supervisor's directions.
- Enter and complete detailed descriptions of repairs in AppFolio.
- Maintain physical properties, including painting, carpentry, and large repairs to buildings and equipment.
- Maintain equipment and tools, ensuring cleanliness and proper condition.
- Purchase building and maintenance supplies under the Director's guidance.
- Manage heating systems in all facilities as needed.
- Work safely according to electrical, fire, and building codes and standards.
- Maintain yards, walkways, and entry areas in clean and safe conditions.
- Obtain bids for projects and repairs as requested.
- Inform the Director and staff of program needs, safety issues, and potential physical problems.
- Assist Program Directors in setting maintenance priorities.
- Aware of personal safety requirements and adhere to them.
- Account for time and projects to the Director as requested.
- Complete weekly and monthly tasks for each facility as outlined on the maintenance form; submit written reports monthly.
- Ensure a favorable driving record (as interpreted by the employer).
- Contribute to a positive, safe, harmonious, productive, and challenging work environment.
- Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications/Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Experience in all aspects of building maintenance, including tool use, tool maintenance, and job safety.
- Proficiency in repairing small and large appliances.
- Ability to organize time and develop priorities.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to present a positive and professional image.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Positive attitude.
- Pass applicable criminal history/background checks.
- Two years off correctional supervision.
- One year free of problems related to chemical dependency, if applicable.
- Positive driving record (periodic review required).
- Valid state driver's license.
- Current Mantoux test (annual requirement thereafter).
- Experience with AppFolio, preferred.
