Housing Navigator

About the role

The Housing Navigator builds relationships with property owners, rental agents, and housing providers across Miami-Dade County to secure available housing for clients. Their responsibilities include creating an inventory of rental units, advertising opportunities internally, and facilitating successful housing placements. They work to improve service delivery and support clients in accessing permanent housing.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with property owners, rental agents, and housing providers across Miami-Dade County.

Qualifications

• G.E.D., High School Diploma, or equivalent experience.
• At least three years of case management experience in social services.
• Or one year working with housing providers and rental markets in Dade County.
• Housing Quality Standard (HQS) Certification preferred.
• Valid Florida driver’s license, adequate insurance, and a clean driving record.

Skills and Abilities

• Strong coordination, communication, and social service management skills.
• Ability to work with vulnerable populations, support residents, and foster teamwork.
• Professional, flexible, respectful, and calm demeanor.
• Proficiency in English and Spanish and/or Creole preferred.
• Computer literacy and leadership qualities.
