About the role

This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Facilities and Asset Management, Mission Support Facilities Division, 1 vacancy in Presidio, TX.

Responsibilities

  • Managing operations of a housing program, including administrative functions, assessment of housing needs, and maintenance of housing facilities.
  • Conducting site visits and performing housing inspections to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Coordinating with supervisors on rehabilitation, new construction, acquisition, movement, removal of structures, upkeep, repair, pre-occupancy, periodic inspections, appliances for all quarters, utilities, cleaning, damage charges, and suitability for proposed new housing.
  • Evaluating and making recommendations to management regarding plans and program management strategies.

Qualifications

Experience GS-13: You qualify for the GS-13 grade level if you possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as:

  • Managing operations of a housing program, including administrative functions, assessment of housing needs, and maintenance of housing facilities.
  • Conducting site visits and performing housing inspections to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Coordinating with supervisors on rehabilitation, new construction, acquisition, movement, removal of structures, upkeep, repair, pre-occupancy, periodic inspections, appliances for all quarters, utilities, cleaning, damage charges, and suitability for proposed new housing.
  • Evaluating and making recommendations to management regarding plans and program management strategies.

Benefits

The Office of Personnel Management (OPM) must authorize employment offers made to current or former political appointees. Pay

This position starts at a salary of $106,437.00 (GS-13, Step 1) to $138,370.00 (GS-13, Step 10).

Schedule

Some positions fall under a special pay rate depending on the series, grade level and location of the position.
