Housing Intake Specialist

Role: Housing Intake Specialist This position involves managing the intake process for housing programs, including meeting with clients face-to-face or via phone, processing applications, and making referrals to internal and external partners. Responsibilities include ensuring accurate data entry, maintaining current waitlists, updating contractor information, and assisting clients with inquiries. The role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Candidates must be autonomous, team-oriented, and able to travel within the service area. Qualifications include a minimum of a High School Diploma or G.E.D., with an Associate’s degree preferred, and at least three years of customer service experience. Candidates must pass background checks (SBI, DMV, sex offender registry, fraud, debarment), possess a valid driver’s license, and be able to operate independently and as part of a team.
