About the role
The FT-Housing Case Manager position at Valley Youth House is responsible for engaging youth in developing and implementing their Housing Stability plans. This role requires a minimum of two years of experience in case management within the human services field, including lived experience. Essential functions include providing quality in-person case management services, generating housing opportunities for clients, and attending and completing required trainings.
Responsibilities
- Engage youth in developing and implementing Housing Stability plans using positive youth/human development, trauma-informed, and culturally appropriate frameworks.
- Ensure timely completion of documentation in client records in compliance with program, county, state, and federal regulations and private grant requirements.
- Generate housing opportunities for clients, assist in locating apartment choices that meet program and funding standards established by HUD, and assist clients to transition into apartments.
- Attend and complete both external and internal agency trainings and workshops as required by the agency and funders (e.g., PA Mandated Reporter, Trauma Informed Care, Positive Youth and Human Development, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, Domestic Violence, Mainstream Benefits, Fair Housing, Landlord Engagement and Housing Search).
Requirements
- Minimum of two years experience working in case management in the human services field including lived experience.
- A high school diploma required. A bachelor's degree preferred.
- Mature individual with the ability to identify with and adapt to the goals and philosophies of positive youth/human development in the Housing and Emergency Services programs.
- Organized and highly adept at managing multiple tasks and assignments.
- Creative thinker and flexible in approaches to people and projects.
- Valid driver's license with vehicle insurance and inspection on any vehicle used for daily work and transportation of clients.
- Passing score on annual motor vehicle clearance.
- Ability to navigate stairs (highly preferred).

Pay
$21/hr to $24/hr.
Schedule
Full-time (40 hours per week).
