The Houseman is the backbone of the housekeeping department, responsible for supporting Room Attendants, maintaining the cleanliness of all public areas, and ensuring that the logistical needs of the floor (linens, trash, and supplies) are handled efficiently to provide a seamless guest experience.

Responsibilities

• Stock Room Attendant carts with clean linens and guest supplies throughout the shift.
• Keep hallways, elevators, lobbies, and stairwells vacuumed, mopped, and dust-free.
• Promptly deliver requested items (pillows, towels, cribs) to guest rooms with a professional and friendly attitude.
• Regularly remove trash and dirty linens from floor closets and transport them to the designated laundry or disposal areas.
• Perform heavy cleaning tasks such as carpet shampooing and floor buffering as assigned.
• Coordinate with the Housekeeping Manager or Inspector to prioritize room needs and special projects.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards immediately.

Requirements

• Previous experience in hospitality or professional cleaning preferred but not required (we provide training!).
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong work ethic and a "team player" attitude.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
• Frequent bending, twisting, and reaching.
• Must be able to lift and move up to 50 lbs (handling heavy linen bags and equipment).
• Ability to climb stairs frequently.

Schedule

• Weekend availability required.
• Flexible schedule: hours and shifts may vary based on hotel occupancy and business needs.
