About the Role
The Working Supervisor manages, directs, and trains Housekeeping personnel in general or specialized cleaning and related duties. This role requires operational knowledge of all specialized cleaning functions and the ability to work a variety of shifts, including AM, PM, and GY.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate various projects for the housekeeping department within the hotel.
- Assist in the direct supervision and instruction of housekeeping personnel.
- Prepare various reports and perform other administrative functions.
- Maintain direct responsibility for the cleanliness and upkeep of assigned areas.
- Purchase routine, repetitive items such as housekeeping supplies, cleaning products, guest amenities, and equipment via Birchstreet.
- Work closely with the receiving department to receive housekeeping deliveries and verify them against requisitions.
- Collaborate with Accounting and vendors to resolve invoice and payment discrepancies.
- Supervise and maintain various housekeeping storage areas.
- Assist with inventories and maintenance of machines and equipment.
- Coordinate repair calls for machines and radios.
- Work with a variety of computer programs.
- Work all shifts, including AM, PM, and GY.
