Housekeeping/Transportation

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize patient rooms and baths to prevent infections and cross contamination.
• Clean offices, sitting & eating areas.
• Cleans and services building areas according to established procedures.
• Moves furniture, equipment and supplies in and around facility.
• Performs a variety of environmental services duties to maintain the facility in a neat, orderly and sanitary condition.
• Coordinates safe transportation of hospitalized patients to and from their residences/appointments as well as meal pick-up.
• Transports patients to and from the facility site.
• Aids other staff in patient chart production, meal provision.
• Communicates to staff any problematic or clinical issues that occur during supervision or transportation of patients.

Requirements

• High School Graduate.
• Current Motor Vehicle License with a clean MVR.
• Minimum of 1-3 years housekeeping experience working in a hospital or nursing home environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Knowledge of JCAHO, Federal, and State regulations.
• Ability to follow established procedures and policies.
• Good communication skills.
• Physical ability to perform tasks such as moving furniture, equipment, and supplies.

• Basic computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Office).
