Housekeeping Supervisor

About the role

The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the cleanliness and appearance of guest rooms and corridors. They may also assist in cleaning rooms when necessary. The role requires accommodating guest needs and requests while promoting internal growth and adhering to company standards.

Responsibilities

• Ensure rooms are guest-ready before being released to the front desk
• Clean guest rooms and public areas as needed
• Report deficiencies and equipment malfunctions to maintenance
• Make beds, pick up trash, vacuum, and empty trash cans
• Wipe mirrors, shelves, doorframes, furniture, windowsills, and baseboards
• Ensure bathrooms are clean and disinfected, replenish supplies, and place clean towels on racks
• Maintain a clean and attractive work area, uniform, and personal appearance
• Assist with security and provide support to guests and associates

Requirements

• Knowledge of fire alarm systems and evacuation procedures
• Able to communicate effectively in writing, verbally, and in person
• Able to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Organized, honest, and collaborative
• Able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds
• Able to work in a restricted space for up to 8 hours
• Comfortable using a step stool or ladder
• Able to work with people from diverse cultures and backgrounds
• Has the highest degree of integrity and lives by the Golden Rule

Qualifications

• Pass required training
• Adhere to standard operating procedures and property-specific brand standards
