About the Organization

Lake Huron Medical Center is a 139-bed community hospital providing a wide range of inpatient and outpatient health care services to residents of St. Clair and Sanilac counties. Services include emergency care, primary stroke center, cancer care, surgical services, physical therapy and rehabilitation, pulmonary rehabilitation, and specialized diabetes programs. Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of housekeeping, laundry, and linen tasks requiring strong supervisory skills.
• Supervises a staff of 25 or more employees, providing leadership, direction, and equity in dealing with all team members.
• Creates an effective and cohesive working relationship with department employees, department heads, hospital staff, and the public.
• Ensures regulatory compliance for sanitation for patients, guests, and employees.
• Maintains appropriate sanitation in public areas to project a strong, positive image.
• Generates policies and procedures to ensure compliance with infection control and sanitation standards.
• Coordinates rental linen and uniform efforts.
• Provides multi-disciplinary support services.
• Participates in employee awareness and education.

Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of housekeeping experience in a hospital setting.
• Familiarity with regulatory agency requirements (preferred).
• Familiarity with chemical sanitizers and general housekeeping functions.

Schedule

Full Time, variable shift.
