What this job involves
Lead the charge in maintaining exceptional cleanliness and safety standards across our manufacturing facilities during 2nd shift operations. As Housekeeping Supervisor, you'll play a critical role in JLL's commitment to delivering world-class facility services by managing a dedicated housekeeping team, ensuring compliance with rigorous safety protocols, and maintaining the high operational standards our clients expect. This hands-on leadership position combines people management, administrative oversight, and quality control—making you the go-to expert who keeps our facilities running smoothly and safely around the clock.
What your day-to-day will look like
- Supervise and coordinate housekeeping staff activities during 2nd shift, ensuring all cleaning protocols and safety procedures are followed
- Conduct routine facility inspections to verify performance standards and identify areas requiring immediate attention
- Prepare end-of-shift reports and maintain accurate staffing documentation for operational continuity
- Monitor and manage inventory levels of cleaning consumables and equipment; escalate supply needs to prevent disruptions
- Develop and implement housekeeping procedures and performance measures to ensure work accuracy and efficiency
- Set daily performance targets and drive team productivity through coaching, feedback, and accountability
- Partner with the Housekeeping Manager on administrative functions, budget tracking, and facility service improvements
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of facility or housekeeping administration experience, preferably in a supervisory capacity
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for reporting, scheduling, and data tracking
- Demonstrated superior customer service skills with ability to maintain professionalism under pressure
- Strong multitasking abilities with proven capacity to plan work under time constraints and work independently
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills for effective team leadership and stakeholder engagement
- Strong organizational skills with a collaborative working style and attention to detail
- Ability to meet physical requirements: lift/move items up to 49 lbs; push/pull dollies up to 100 lbs; stand/walk up to 10-12 hours; work in industrial environments that may be noisy, unheated, or not air-conditioned
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing union workforce and navigating collective bargaining agreements
- Background in manufacturing or industrial facility environments
- Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and industrial cleaning protocols
- Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) or work order tracking software
- Bilingual communication skills (English/Spanish)
