About the role

The Housekeeping Supervisor at Great Wolf Lodge is a leadership role responsible for ensuring high standards of cleanliness, efficiency, and guest satisfaction in the Housekeeping department.

Responsibilities

  • Leads and mentors housekeeping staff to meet or exceed cleanliness standards and operational efficiencies.
  • Ensures timely turnover of all vacant and clean rooms; verifies stayovers, reports early check-outs, and communicates issues and discrepancies with front office.
  • Provides coaching, encouragement, and recognition to housekeeping staff.
  • Champions Great Wolf policies and procedures and collaborates with Housekeeping leadership in performance management.
  • Schedules staff, manages labor, and forecasts needs.
  • Develops and executes training programs for new hires and ongoing training for housekeeping staff.
  • Schedules daily assignments, projects, and optimizes staff to ensure lodge cleanliness and performance.
  • Conducts daily stand-up meetings with room attendants and house attendants to prioritize the day and facilitate feedback.
  • Escalates pack feedback to leadership.
  • Inspects guest rooms for cleanliness, damage, supply levels, maintenance issues, and temperature control; reviews results with room attendants; coaches and drives performance improvement.
  • Ensures linen storage rooms, trash rooms, and housekeeping carts are clean, organized, and properly inventoried for the next day's activities; promotes safety standards.
  • Supervises staff and area to ensure compliance with resort standards, including managing time and attendance.
  • Participates in the recruitment process and selection of talent for the housekeeping department.
  • Assists with regular team meetings and engagement activities for pack members.
  • Schedules deep clean and carpet care based on bi-annual schedule and guest comments.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience.
  • At least 1 year experience in a Rooms Division supervisor or similar supervisor position.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a hospitality or housekeeping setting or equivalent formal education.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general software systems, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Experience with HotSos or similar system.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated customer service, conflict resolution, employee engagement, retention, and team building skills.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Previous housekeeping experience, preferably in large family resort or hotel.
  • Experience with Opera or similar system.
  • Bilingual, English and Spanish.
  • Strong time management skills in a fast-paced environment.

Skills

  • Ability to lift 30 lbs.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stretch, and twist.
  • Ability to tolerate exposure to chemicals.
