Key Responsibilities
- Lead, train, and motivate the housekeeping team.
- Schedule shifts, delegate tasks, and ensure adequate staffing levels to meet operational demands.
- Inspect rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure cleanliness standards are consistently met. Address any discrepancies and implement corrective measures.
- Monitor and maintain stock levels of cleaning supplies, linens, and other housekeeping essentials. Place orders as needed and manage inventory efficiently.
- Provide ongoing training to housekeeping staff on cleaning techniques, safety protocols, and company standards. Encourage team development and support career growth.
- Address guest requests and complaints promptly, ensuring a positive experience.
- Communicate effectively with other departments, such as the front desk and maintenance, to coordinate and resolve guest-related issues.
- Ensure all housekeeping activities comply with health, sanitation, and safety regulations. Conduct regular safety inspections and ensure staff follow proper procedures.
- Maintain records of inspections, supplies, and personnel issues. Prepare reports for management regarding housekeeping performance, inventory needs, and other relevant metrics.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a housekeeping role, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory capacity.
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift moderate weights throughout the shift.
- Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and flexible hours as needed.
- Familiarity with housekeeping processes, cleaning techniques, and safety standards.
- Certification in sanitation or housekeeping management (preferred but not required).
