Housekeeping Supervisor
About the role
Easterseals NH is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to manage and oversee a team of housekeeping staff at the Military and Veterans Campus. The position involves leading a team, performing housekeeping duties, and ensuring a clean, safe, and hospitable environment for guests, visitors, staff, and other stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Recruit, supervise, coach, evaluate, and monitor assigned direct reports and ensure staff follow Agency/Department policies and procedures.
- Train housekeeping staff in the use of cleaning solvents, chemicals, and equipment to address cleaning/contamination issues.
- Perform cleaning, housekeeping, laundry, and floor care services to maintain guest-ready conditions and positive customer experiences.
- Clean and service guest rooms on a regular schedule to meet hospitality and department standards, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing bathrooms.
- Complete laundry operations tasks, such as washing, drying, folding, sorting linens, delivering, and stocking linens in assigned spaces.
- Maintain inventory of necessary cleaning supplies, linens, and guest items, and partner with leadership and office staff for ordering needs.
- Respond to campus guest and visitor inquiries and requests with courteous and timely service, providing exceptional customer service.
- Maintain quality control standards to ensure compliance with state licensing and operating standards.
- Ensure proper cleaning and maintenance of housekeeping equipment.
- Report any safety and maintenance concerns to maintenance department and cross-contamination issues to supervisor.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Three (3) to five (5) years’ experience working in housekeeping or related field, with at least one (1) year in housekeeping within the hospitality industry
- Two (2) years supervisory experience preferred
- Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and infection control procedures
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Available for weekend shifts
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Pay
$22.00 hourly
Schedule
Full-Time, 40 hours per week. Monday-Friday with occasional evenings and weekends.
