Housekeeping Supervisor

Colonial Pines Healthcare Center in San Augustine, TX is hiring a Housekeeping Supervisor. This position is part of a multi‑disciplinary team recognized for its achievements and contributions. Responsibilities

• Supervise staff in day‑to‑day operation of the Housekeeping and Laundry Department, making job assignments and setting priorities.
• Participate in recruitment and selection of new staff; orient new staff.
• Communicate policies and procedures to staff; assist and coach as needed.
• Maintain records as required; manage budgets and supplies; complete inventories.
• Ensure equipment and work areas are clean, safe, and orderly at all times; enforce procedures regarding cleaning products and hazardous materials.
• Ensure infection control, fire safety, and sanitation practices are followed; promptly address any hazardous condition or equipment.
• Ensure all supplies are stored, handled, and dispensed according to directions, government requirements, and facility policy.
• Plan facility housekeeping and laundry services to ensure resident rooms and common areas are cleaned according to policy.
• Purchase housekeeping and laundry supplies within budget and ensure availability as needed.
• Conduct, attend, and participate in orientation, training, in‑service education programs, and staff meetings.
• Understand, comply with, and promote all rules regarding Residents’ Rights.

Requirements

• Functional literacy in English.
• Physical ability to lift, carry, and operate equipment and supplies.
• Experience in institutional housekeeping or maintenance (helpful).
• Experience with floor‑care equipment (helpful).
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Previous supervisory experience.
