Housekeeping Supervisor

About the role

The DoubleTree by Hilton New Orleans Airport is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to lead the housekeeping team and ensure the hotel maintains a spotless and welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

• Daily Leadership: Assigning room boards, inspecting rooms, and ensuring brand cleanliness standards are met.
• Team Support: Coaching Room Attendants, assisting with training, and stepping in to help during peak times.
• Quality Assurance: Conducting room and public-area inspections, correcting deficiencies, and ensuring guest-ready presentation.
• Inventory & Supplies: Monitoring linen, amenities, and cleaning supplies; communicating needs to management.
• Guest Interaction: Responding to guest requests with urgency, professionalism, and a service-first mindset.
• Safety & Compliance: Ensuring adherence to OSHA standards, chemical handling procedures, and Hilton brand protocols.

Requirements

• Experience: Prior housekeeping or supervisory experience in a hotel environment strongly preferred.
• Leadership Skills: Ability to motivate, coach, and hold team members accountable.
• Reliability: Consistent attendance and dependability in a fast-paced environment.
• Communication: Clear, professional communication with team members and guests.
• Standards-Driven: Passion for cleanliness, organization, and delivering a polished guest experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a hotel setting preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and assist with linen or supply movement as needed.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
