About the Role
To clean, supply, and maintain adequate par stock for linen and supplies for the floors pantries as per hotel requirements and standards. Actively assist in maintaining guest rooms, corridors, and surroundings to ensure a pristine environment for guests.
Responsibilities
- Attend daily briefing at the beginning of each shift.
- Understand resort standards and procedures required to carry out daily tasks.
- Follow the resort room key control policy.
- Ensure adequate linens and guest supplies are available in pantries; neatly stock linen shelves.
- Supply room attendants with adequate cleaning products, supplies, and equipment.
- Collect and dispose of garbage, recycling, linen, and other disposed items in assigned areas.
- Use and maintain all chemicals, supplies, and equipment as per resort standards.
- Clean guest corridors, garden borders, empty ashtrays, mirrors, railings, and other guest areas.
- Assist in placing and removing extra beds and cribs to and from guest rooms.
- Promptly report lost and found items to the housekeeping office.
- Report any maintenance defects and safety hazards to the housekeeping office.
- Assist in inventory of linen and supplies.
- Understand how to service rooms and operate the linen room to assist when needed.
- Have thorough knowledge of guest room layouts, corridors, and all housekeeping storage spaces.
- Follow resort health and safety policies and procedures.
- Assist with all other duties as assigned.
Schedule
Work as scheduled to a rotating roster that includes morning, afternoon, evening, and overnight shifts, as well as weekends and public holidays.
Requirements
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Organizational skills and ability to work unsupervised.
- Strong customer focus.
Physical Requirements
- Standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, and bending for extended periods in an operational environment.
- Frequent bending, twisting, stooping, reaching, and pulling.
- Lifting and carrying loads weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Working in outdoor environments, including high altitudes, with exposure to extreme weather conditions such as snow, ice, rain, heat, and wind.
