Housekeeping – Room Attendant

Specific Duties

• Retrieves items from shelves and storerooms, sets up cleaning cart with supplies, organizes carts and storerooms.
• Cleans and wipes windows, doors, walls, closets and fixtures.
• Washes shower walls and tub, cleans toilets and stall walls, wipes exposed pipes, cleans mirrors, sinks and walls.
• Restocks room amenities and literature.
• Washes hard floor areas (linoleum, tile, etc.), dusts and polishes furniture, fixtures and wall hangings, strips and remakes beds.
• Vacuums rooms, public areas and hallways, inspects door and window locks, checks room equipment, secures and maintains custody of equipment, keys and supplies.
• Cleans patio/balcony areas, assists other employees and departments.

Qualifications

• Able to work flexible hours (nights, weekends).
• Responsible, dependable, punctual.
• Able to understand and follow verbal/written instructions and communicate both verbally and in writing.
• Clean and professional appearance.
• Must pass a background check.
• Physical qualifications: Maneuver fully loaded maid cart weighing up to 50lbs., push, pull, bend and kneel constantly, bend down and get on/off floor numerous times per day.
• Education/Formal Training: High School Diploma/GED.
• Experience: Experience a plus, but not required.
