Housekeeping – Room Attendant

Responsibilities

• Cleans and prepares guest rooms and public areas
• Retrieves items from shelves and storerooms, sets up cleaning cart with supplies
• Constantly organizes carts and storerooms in a clean and orderly fashion
• Cleans and wipes windows, doors, walls, closets and fixtures
• Washes shower walls and tub, cleans toilet(s) and stall walls if applicable, wipes exposed pipes, cleans mirrors, sink(s) and walls
• Restocks room amenities and literature
• Washes hard floor areas (linoleum, tile, etc.)
• Dusts and polishes furniture, fixtures and wall hangings
• Strips beds, checks for cleanliness, replaces soiled linens and restocks room supplies
• Vacuums rooms, public areas and hallways
• Inspects room equipment and reports deficiencies
• Maintains security by inspecting locks and reporting unsafe situations
• Secures and maintains custody of equipment, keys and supplies
• Assists other employees and departments
• Cleans patio/balcony areas

Qualifications

• Able to work flexible hours (nights, weekends)
• Responsible, dependable, punctual
• Able to understand and follow verbal/written instructions and communicate both verbally and in writing
• Clean and professional appearance
• Passes a background check

Physical Qualifications

• Able to maneuver fully loaded maid cart, weighing up to 50lbs., through hallways and into/out of closets during entire work day
• Able to push, pull, bend and kneel constantly throughout the day
• Able to bend down and get on and off floor numerous times per day

Additional Information
