About the role

The Environmental Services Technician is responsible for performing a variety of cleaning and sanitation tasks throughout the healthcare facility to ensure compliance with infection control standards and regulatory requirements. This position plays a critical role in promoting a healthy and hygienic environment conducive to patient healing and well-being.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning and sanitation tasks throughout the healthcare facility

Requirements

• Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift
• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties

Qualifications

• No formal education required
• No prior experience required
• Prior Hospital Environmental service experience preferred
• Experience following written and verbal instructions preferred
• Previous experience with performing manual tasks preferred
• Previous experience working with the public; customer service preferred

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Manual dexterity to perform cleaning tasks
• Physical stamina to perform lifting and moving tasks
• Customer service skills to interact with patients and staff
