About the role

Opening in November 2026, Yora Nordic Spa is a place to pause, reconnect, and experience wellbeing through nature, hydrotherapy, and authentic human connection. As the Housekeeping Manager, you will be one of the first members of our on-site leadership team, responsible for recruiting, welcoming, training, and leading the founding Housekeeping team to prepare Yora Nordic Spa for its community opening. This role is anticipated to start on or around September 28, 2026.

The Housekeeping Manager creates the spaces where wellbeing begins. Through thoughtful leadership, strong operations, and an unwavering commitment to cleanliness and presentation, this role builds a team that delivers calm, comfortable, and restorative environments for guests.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit, onboard, coach, and develop an engaged Housekeeping team.
  • Build a culture of care, pride, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Prepare the Housekeeping team for opening through clear standards, training, and hands-on leadership.
  • Lead daily housekeeping operations across guest-facing, employee, and back-of-house areas of the spa.
  • Ensure spaces are consistently clean, organized, welcoming, and presented to Yora standards.
  • Develop and maintain daily, weekly, monthly, and seasonal cleaning and deep-cleaning programs.
  • Manage scheduling, labor, linen, chemicals, cleaning equipment, supplies, and inventory.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to cleanliness concerns and guest-recovery opportunities.
  • Partner with Maintenance and other departments to protect the appearance, condition, and longevity of the facility.
  • Support sanitation, safety, and regulatory compliance through effective standards, documentation, and follow-through.
  • Manage purchasing, vendor relationships, departmental labor, and operating expenses responsibly.
  • Use guest feedback, quality inspections, and operational information to improve performance and efficiency.
  • Set clear expectations, recognize strong performance, and model Yora's values of Simple, Inclusive, Natural, and Social.

Requirements

  • Three to five years of leadership experience in housekeeping, wellness, hospitality, or a comparable guest-service environment.
  • Experience leading, coaching, and developing high-performing housekeeping teams.
  • Strong knowledge of sanitation standards, cleaning systems, chemicals, equipment, and facility presentation.
  • Experience with scheduling, labor management, purchasing, inventory control, and budgeting.
  • Strong communication, organization, operational planning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Financial awareness and the ability to balance efficiency with consistently high cleanliness standards.
  • A visible, approachable, and hands-on leadership style.
  • A genuine interest in wellness and creating environments where guests feel comfortable, cared for, and able to reconnect.

Schedule

This is a full-time, on-site leadership position. The Housekeeping Manager must be available to work a flexible schedule that may include mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs. Additional flexibility will be required during the pre-opening and opening periods.

Physical and Work Environment Requirements

This is an active position that requires a visible presence throughout indoor and outdoor spa areas. The role involves:

  • Extended periods of standing and walking.
  • Frequent bending, reaching, twisting, and crouching.
  • Climbing stairs, pushing and pulling housekeeping equipment.
  • Carrying routine cleaning supplies, linen, or operational materials.
  • Working around water, humidity, steam, cleaning products, changing temperatures, outdoor weather conditions, and wet or slippery surfaces.

The employee must be able to perform the essential functions of the position safely, with or without reasonable accommodation.
