Housekeeping Manager

Full-Time Holiday Inn Express Holiday Inn Express is seeking an experienced, organized, and hands-on Housekeeping Manager to lead our housekeeping and laundry operations. This position is responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the hotel while effectively managing staff, productivity, supplies, and daily room readiness. The ideal candidate is a strong leader who is willing to work alongside the team when needed and takes pride in maintaining a clean, well-organized property. Responsibilities Lead and supervise the daily operations of the housekeeping and laundry departmentsSchedule housekeeping staff based on occupancy, arrivals, departures, and business needsAssign daily room boards and responsibilities to room attendants and laundry staffInspect guest rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness and hotel standards are consistently metEnsure guest rooms are cleaned and released in a timely manner for arriving guestsMonitor housekeeping productivity, labor hours, and staffing levelsTrain, coach, and provide ongoing feedback to housekeeping team membersAssist with interviewing, onboarding, and training new employeesAddress attendance, performance, and conduct concerns in accordance with hotel policiesCommunicate closely with the Front Desk regarding room status, early arrivals, special requests, and priority roomsReport and follow up on maintenance issues identified in guest rooms and public areasManage housekeeping supplies, linens, amenities, and cleaning productsMaintain appropriate inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as neededMonitor linen condition and help control loss, damage, and unnecessary replacementEnsure housekeeping carts, storage rooms, linen closets, and work areas remain clean and organizedOversee proper use and storage of cleaning chemicals and equipmentEnsure team members follow safety, sanitation, and chemical-handling proceduresRespond professionally to guest cleanliness concerns and assist with resolving service issuesMaintain lost-and-found procedures and documentationAssist with room cleaning, inspections, laundry, and other department duties when operational needs requireWork with hotel management to identify opportunities to improve cleanliness scores, efficiency, and guest satisfactionEnsure compliance
