Role Summary

Reporting to the Housekeeping department head/manager, manage housekeeping associates and operations to ensure clean and orderly conditions of the property while adhering to brand and company standards.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in overseeing housekeeping and laundry operations and staff.
  • Demonstrate Concord and Renaissance brand values in daily leadership, maintaining a positive, effective, and efficient environment.
  • Maintain room quality to company and brand objectives.
  • Distribute daily workload; routinely monitor and adjust (as needed) to meet daily objectives.
  • Manage and adhere to inspection program for all guest rooms and public areas to ensure proper maintenance and standards are achieved and sustained.
  • Maintain deep cleaning schedule. Initiate new procedures to increase efficiency of labor, equipment, and resources.
  • Stay current to advances in Housekeeping. Continually review processes and procedures and implement new methods as needed.
  • Review guest satisfaction scores and feedback. Respond promptly and professionally to opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with key control procedures as they relate to the housekeeping department.
  • Maintain working relationship with vendors and suppliers to ensure quality products and service.
  • Aids in inventory management.
  • Collaborates closely with Engineering team to ensure proper preventative maintenance.
  • Ensures all housekeeping and laundry equipment is maintained in working order.
  • Aids in selecting, training, developing, coaching, and motivating housekeeping staff.
  • Aids in scheduling the department to business volume.
  • Routinely monitors and manages time and attendance.
  • Acts as Manager on Duty as required.
  • Maintains continual communication between all departments within the hotel to ensure a consistent and cohesive guest experience.
  • Completes duties of direct reports, as needed. Includes but is not limited to cleaning guest rooms, cleaning public areas, stocking linen closets, and sorting, washing, and folding linens.

Qualifications

Leadership experience in a full-service hotel, within the Rooms Division (preferably Housekeeping).

Flexible availability is required (including weekends).

Skills and Experience

  • The Housekeeping Manager is an overtime eligible manager position.
  • The starting hourly pay for this position is $20.00, depending on experience.
