Housekeeping- Lompoc Skilled Nursing

About the role

Lompoc Skilled Nursing and Rehab, a Generations Healthcare facility, is seeking a full-time Housekeeper to maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment in accordance with federal, state, and local standards.

Responsibilities

• Follow daily work/cleaning schedules and report accidents or incidents to supervisors
• Coordinate daily housekeeping services with nursing services in resident living and recreational areas
• Follow established safety precautions when performing tasks and using equipment or supplies
• Wear or use safety equipment (e.g., back brace, mechanical lifts) when lifting or moving heavy objects
• Maintain assigned work areas in a clean, safe, comfortable, and attractive manner
• Keep work areas free of hazardous objects and unnecessary equipment or supplies
• Follow proper techniques when mixing chemicals, disinfectants, and cleaning solutions; refer to manufacturer instructions as needed

Requirements

• Minimum of a high school diploma or GED
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
• Ability to make independent decisions, follow instructions, and accept constructive criticism
• Ability to interact tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, and the public
• Maintain care and use of supplies and equipment; perform regular inspections of resident rooms/units for sanitation, order, and safety
• Willingness to work harmoniously with staff and handle residents at varying maturity levels

Pay

Wage: $16.50–$18.00 per hour, depending on experience.
