Responsibilities
- Provide supervision and guidance to Environmental Services staff to ensure high levels of cleanliness, quality, and service.
- Assist with State compliance relating to cleaning processes, waste removal, and infection control practices.
- Lead and oversee Environmental Services staff, ensuring appropriate staffing levels for regular needs and special projects.
- Coordinate with department manager on daily work schedules and reassign staff during shortages to ensure proper coverage.
- Lead, direct, and train Environmental Services staff and new employees on equipment and procedures.
- Ensure adherence to new employee retention program and assist with employee training and re-training.
- Document disciplinary problems and bring them to the attention of the department manager.
- Maintain high-quality appearance in assigned areas, ensuring all areas are cleaned according to acceptable standards.
- Ensure appropriate levels of chemicals and supplies are on hand, properly stored, and efficiently used; place orders when required.
- Maintain cleaning equipment in good working condition and report issues to the department manager.
- Perform duties as assigned to address staffing shortages or urgent needs.
- Allocate resources (supplies, labor, services) to meet fiscal departmental budgetary guidelines weekly, monthly, and annually in the absence of the supervisor.
- Maintain and build relationships with key personnel, responding to requests and concerns with consistent follow-up.
- Participate in required joint inspections with key personnel.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED (candidate can be in process of achieving their GED).
- 1 year of Environmental Service experience.
- Current and valid Arizona driver's license.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
Qualifications
- Basic college courses or vocational/specialized training post-high school (preferred).
- 1 year of leadership experience (preferred).
- 2 years of healthcare experience (preferred).
- 2 years of job-related duty (preferred).
- 2 years of supervision experience (preferred).
Schedule
- Evening Shift: 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM
- Full-Time
