Responsibilities
- Work with the housekeeping team to ensure high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and tidiness in rooms
- Determine routing schedule and delegate work flow and instructions to cleaning staff on a daily basis (ex: stocking closets, refill their closets with items for the next work day)
- Supervising the daily cleaning of assigned tasks, while working alongside staff to ensure the high standards of cleanliness as set forth
- Follow/lead the schedule of tasks to be completed on a daily basis due to needs
- Continuously seek and make improvements to the overall housekeeping functions
- Ensure all staff performing housekeeping functions are properly trained in technique, quality, efficiency and safety
- Maintain supply levels, orderly supply closets, housekeeping vehicle, & housekeeping home base along with the other housekeeping staff
- Fill out work orders when needed
- Deep cleaning of rooms during slow times and as needed
- Attend staff training sessions and meetings as needed
- Understand Company’s ISO (Environmental & Quality) management systems, policies, goals, and initiatives and meet the specific responsibilities within these areas
Requirements
- Excellent customer service and people skills
- Ability be able to assist in the supervision of employees
- Must be able to work a variety of day, night, weekend, holiday shifts
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with many types of personalities
- Effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying the concerns and issues raised by co-workers and guests in stressful, high pressure situations
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs. and carry up to 25 lbs.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Experience: Minimum of 2 (two) years in the hospitality industry required
- Minimum of 2 (two) years management experience required
- Resort/National Park experience preferred
