Housekeeping/ Laundry Supervisor

About the role

NHC Cookeville is seeking a Housekeeping/Laundry Supervisor with supervisory experience and at least 2 years of housekeeping/laundry experience in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patient bathrooms are cleaned including sinks, toilets, tubs and showers.
• Empty garbage cans in patient rooms, bathrooms, activity areas and other areas.
• Mop and buff floors, dust furniture both on top and underneath in patient areas.
• Maintain cleanliness of hallways, removing debris and following company and center policies and procedures.
• Clean walls, furniture and equipment to provide a clean, pleasant environment.
• Establish and enforce cleaning schedules for housekeeping staff.
• Ensure housekeeping staff follow safety procedures and are properly trained.
• Work safely, using chemical agents according to procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of housekeeping/laundry experience in a healthcare setting.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to read and understand standard English.
• Effective customer service skills.
• Compassion towards patients and residents.

Pay and Schedule

The position is full-time, Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend work as needed.
