About the role

Located at Mercy Hospital Southeast, 1701 Lacey Street, Cape Girardeau, MO 63701, the Environmental Services Technician is responsible for performing a variety of cleaning and sanitation tasks throughout the healthcare facility to ensure compliance with infection control standards and regulatory requirements. This position plays a critical role in promoting a healthy and hygienic environment conducive to patient healing and well-being.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Prior hospital environmental services experience (preferred).
• Experience following written and verbal instructions (preferred).
• Experience performing manual tasks (preferred).
• Customer service experience working with the public (preferred).

Skills

• Ability to push, pull, and/or lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Capable of prolonged standing and walking each shift.
• Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
