About the role

The Environmental Services Technician performs a variety of cleaning and sanitation tasks throughout the healthcare facility to ensure compliance with infection control standards and regulatory requirements. This position plays a critical role in promoting a healthy and hygienic environment conducive to patient healing and well-being.

Schedule

Full-Time (40 hours per week), evening shift

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning and sanitation tasks in assigned areas of the healthcare facility
• Maintain compliance with infection control standards and regulatory requirements
• Follow written and verbal instructions to complete tasks efficiently
• Engage with patients, visitors, and staff in a professional and courteous manner

Requirements

• Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
• Prolonged standing and walking each shift
• Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties

Preferred Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Prior hospital environmental services experience
• Experience following written and verbal instructions
• Previous experience performing manual tasks
• Customer service experience, particularly in a public-facing role
