Housekeeping; Floor Tech

About the role

Join our environmental services team as a Floor Tech at East Cobb Center for Nursing and Healing. Help maintain a clean, polished, and welcoming atmosphere for residents, staff, and visitors in a warm, caring healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Clean, strip, wax, buff, and maintain all facility floors
• Operate floor care equipment (buffers, scrubbers, extractors, etc.)
• Assist with carpet cleaning and surface maintenance
• Follow all safety and infection control procedures
• Ensure all floors remain clean, safe, and presentable
• Collaborate with housekeeping and maintenance teams
• Complete light maintenance tasks assigned by the maintenance supervisor, such as cleaning AC filters and painting
• Maintain a schedule of routine floor care and light maintenance duties

Requirements

• Prior floor tech or janitorial experience (healthcare setting a plus)
• Familiarity with floor care equipment and cleaning products
• Willingness to take on light maintenance responsibilities
• Strong work ethic, time management skills, and attention to detail
• Positive, team-oriented attitude
