Fouquet's New York is in search of an experienced Housekeeping Floor Manager to monitor the work activities of cleaning personnel to ensure a clean, orderly, and attractive environment for guests and visitors.
Responsibilities
- Ensure customer satisfaction from arrival to departure in accordance with standards, providing guest service above and beyond all expectations.
- Ensure cleanliness and high service standards are maintained in all areas of responsibility.
- Inspect all rooms and ensure they are up to standard.
- Work closely with Engineering by reporting all work orders as soon as possible.
- Provide daily updates to the Director of Housekeeping & Assistant Director of Housekeeping on progress and status of each area of responsibility.
- Complete all required forms (room status, late checkouts, employee competencies, productivity, and absenteeism daily).
- Maintain correct inventories of all Operating Supplies & Equipment (OS&E) items.
- Complete all special projects in a timely manner.
- Be an active team player with a hands-on approach when manpower is in shortage.
- Train employees to be perfectly groomed at all times.
- Monitor the condition of all housekeeping equipment for proper maintenance, cleaning, and repair to protect assets and ensure maximum efficiency and a safe work environment.
- Work in a standing position for long periods of time, up to 8 hours a day.
- Ensure safe chemical handling and proper chemical usage procedures.
- Give feedback to employees in a positive and encouraging manner to maintain overall high performance.
Requirements
- Work experience as a Housekeeping Floor Manager or similar role for at least 2 years.
- Experience working in Microsoft Office and Google applications.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull required load (usually about 40 lbs).
- Excellent organizational, time, and team management skills.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Effective communication skills.
- High school diploma or GED.
