Manager - Housekeeping Floor

Position Overview The Manager – Housekeeping Floor is responsible for the direct leadership of housekeeping operations across assigned floors, ensuring timely room readiness, cleanliness accuracy, and luxury presentation standards for guest suites. This role oversees daily performance and engagement of Housekeepers and Floor Attendants, supports service recovery, and contributes to labor and quality performance under the leadership of the Executive Manager of Housekeeping. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and The Venetian Resort’s policies, practices, and procedures. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Supervise housekeeping operations for approximately 2–3 assigned floors of guest suites ensuring consistent luxury cleanliness standards and timely room readinessLead and support approximately 9–27 Housekeepers and 2–3 Floor Attendants per shift including task assignment, training, and real-time coachingConduct daily suite inspections including written inspections and visual quality checks, meeting assigned inspection quota requirements while ensuring accuracy in documentation and corrective follow-upEnsure compliance with daily workload distribution, productivity expectations, and adherence to department service standardsUtilize HotSOS/IVR to accurately report, track, and follow up on room and facility deficienciesSupport performance evaluations, documentation, and development activities for assigned team membersAdminister corrective actions including counseling up to First Written Warning (FWW) in accordance with policy and collective bargaining agreementsSupport inventory control processes including monitoring and communicating supply needs to Housekeeping Inventory Control leadershipAssist in service recovery and guest interaction by resolving concerns promptly and maintaining a luxury guest-service approachMonitor work areas for safety compliance and ensure adherence to health, environmental, and safety standards including hazardous materials handlingMaintain strong presence on floors to observe service delivery, engage team members, and support operational decisions Additional Duties & Responsibilities Assist with special projects, onboarding activities, and continuous improvement initiatives that support operational effectivenessSuccessfully represent and uphold 5-Star and 5-Diamond luxury service expectations on assigned floorsConsistent and regular attendance is an essential function of this jobPerforms other duties as assigned Additional Duties & Responsibilities Company Standards of Conduct All Venetian Resort Team Members are expected to always conduct and carry themselves in a professional manner. Minimum Qualifications 21 years of ageProof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United StatesHigh School Diploma or equivalentMust be able to obtain and maintain any certification or license required by law or policy5 years of experience in housekeeping or hotel operations with working knowledge of luxury service expectations2 years of supervisory experience within a 4-Star or higher property preferredProficient with Microsoft Office and hospitality systems such as LMS and HotSOS preferredUnderstanding of OSHA regulations and workplace safety proceduresExcellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to motivate and support diverse teamsAbility to work variable shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays based on business needs Physical Requirements Must be able to Lift or carry 50 pounds unassisted when requiredAccess guest areas and service corridors throughout multi-tower resort environments with or without reasonable accommodationMaintain composure under pressure in a fast-paced operation while meeting business deadlinesWalk, stand, stretch, bend, and kneel for extended periodsWork indoors with exposure to noise, dust, cleaning chemicals, and other environmental elementsInteract professionally and effectively with guests, leadership, and team members
