Housekeeping Floor Care Specialist

Responsibilities

• Trained and can perform all the tasks of the Custodial Worker Job Description.
• Trained to strip and refinish all types of hard surface floors.
• Trained to scrub and refinish all types of hard surface floors.
• Trained to spot clean and extract all types of carpeted surfaces and upholstery.
• Trained to operate housekeeping equipment such as walk behind and riding auto scrubbers safely and efficiently in accordance with established procedures.
• Responsible for daily corridor maintenance, including dust mopping, spot mopping, and auto scrubbing corridors and lobby areas.
• May use walk behind sweepers and burnishers as needed.
• Cleans equipment before returning it to storage area.
• Reports equipment in need of repair to supervisor.
• Reports safety hazards.

Requirements

• 1 or more years of housekeeping experience.
• High School Graduate or GED preferred.

Skills

• Ability to operate handheld communication devices for communication with dispatch.
• Ability to perform operations with units such as cup, pint, quart and ounce, inch, foot and yard.
