Housekeeping/Floor Care Attendant - Full Time
About the role
The Housekeeping/Floorcare Attendant plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the facilities at St. Joseph’s Center, supporting the well-being of both residents and staff.
Responsibilities
- Clean assigned areas such as bathrooms, offices, hallways, living and dining spaces, and stairways by sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting.
- Keep cleaning tools, equipment, and supply closets clean and organized.
- Report any broken equipment, safety concerns, or needed repairs to your supervisor right away.
- Follow all safety rules and learn the correct way to use cleaning products and equipment.
- Attend required training sessions and in-service meetings.
- Gather cleaning supplies and equipment before starting work in assigned areas.
- Work well with coworkers and supervisors, showing respect and teamwork.
- Be flexible with job duties, priorities, and work areas as needed.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED is preferred but not required.
- Previous cleaning or housekeeping experience is preferred.
- A valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License is required.
- Stand for 1–3 hours per day.
- Walk for 3–7 hours per day.
- Lift or move up to 25 pounds.
- Bend, squat, and kneel as needed.
- Twist and move upper body frequently during work.
