About The Role
Housekeeping Crew Members perform a variety of tasks related to custodial and cleaning services during facility use, including routine trash removal and facility cleanup. The role requires the ability to work odd or unusual hours, split shifts, or holidays in preparation for events. Crew Members also perform routine custodial and minor maintenance work in the cleaning and care of the facilities.

The Greensboro Coliseum Complex is a versatile multi-building facility serving the Greensboro community and surrounding areas. It hosts a wide array of events, including athletic competitions, cultural arts showcases, concerts, theater performances, educational activities, fairs, exhibits, conventions, convocations, trade shows, and consumer shows. The Complex is a hub of community activities and a significant contributor to the regional economy.
The Complex consists of nine venues, including the 22,000-seat First Horizon Coliseum, which has hosted prestigious ACC and NCAA basketball championships and legendary concerts by artists such as Paul McCartney, Garth Brooks, Elvis Presley, Drake, Bad Bunny, and Taylor Swift. Other venues include the 167,000-square-foot Special Events Center (with three exhibition halls, a 4,500-seat mini-arena, and eight meeting rooms), White Oak Amphitheatre, Piedmont Hall, the Novant Health Fieldhouse, Greensboro Aquatic Center, The Terrace, ACC Hall of Champions, and the 300-seat Odeon Theatre. The Complex hosts over 1,100 events annually and is renowned for its flexibility and reputation among promoters, producers, event planners, and patrons.
Responsibilities
- Mix and prepare cleaning products; clean Coliseum interior and exterior; vacuum, sweep, mop, clean, and wax floors.
- Ensure a safe environment for patrons; remove liquids and debris from walkways during events.
- Clean and sanitize restroom facilities and fixtures; replenish supplies in restrooms.
- Wash windows, mirrors, walls, and countertops.
- Remove and dispose of debris from parking lots, walkways, and Coliseum facilities; empty waste receptacles.
- Perform additional staff functions for events.
- Report known or expected irregularities to the immediate supervisor to ensure compliance.
- Follow OSHA and in-house safety guidelines.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred.
- 1+ years of related working knowledge of building cleaning practices, methods, supplies, and equipment.
- Ability to perform routine and repetitive custodial tasks without immediate supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Ability to walk/stand for the entire shift, bend, and stoop.
- Flexibility to work weekends, nights, and holidays.
- Successfully complete on-site CPR and bloodborne pathogen training.
Pay
This role pays an hourly rate of $19.00 to $21.00.
