About the Venue
The Greensboro Coliseum Complex is a versatile multi-building facility serving the community of Greensboro and its surrounding areas. It hosts a wide array of events, including athletic competitions, cultural arts showcases, concerts, theater performances, educational activities, fairs, and exhibits. The complex is made up of nine venues, with the Greensboro Coliseum being the largest, hosting prestigious ACC and NCAA basketball championships and featuring legendary artists like Paul McCartney, Garth Brooks, and Phish.
Responsibilities
- Participate in all aspects of the conversion process for events.
- Setting up and tearing down flooring, chairs, barricades, staging, tables, and other furnishings and equipment.
- Responding to promoters'/clients' needs as directed.
- Work extended and/or irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
- Aid in pre/post-event cleaning.
- Get in and around the facility, walking the entire shift, bending, lifting, carrying, moving, climbing, working from various heights, and dealing with moderate to loud noises.
- Maintain outside grounds, including parking areas, entrances, the event plaza, and snow removal as required.
- Perform repairs and maintenance tasks as needed, such as painting, patching, and other conversion-related operational equipment.
- Follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively in both oral and written form.
- Operate equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, scissor lifts, or other light power equipment.
- Maintain an effective working relationship with other departments, clients, and patrons encountered in the course of employment.
- Work effectively under pressure and a stringent schedule to produce accurate results.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred.
- Experience: 1 to 2 years of event changeover experience.
- Ability to work under deadlines driven by event schedules and project timetables.
- Ability to work independently and as a team.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively with others in both oral and written form.
- Must be adaptable with the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Must be flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Training and certification required for pallet jacks, forklifts, scissor lifts, or other light power equipment.
Pay
This role will pay an hourly rate of $15.00.
Schedule
This position will remain open until October 2, 2026.
